1. Jason Apuzzo
Jason Apuzzo is a filmmaker, and the Co-Founder and Co-Editor of Libertas Film Magazine (LFM). He also currently blogs for The Huffington Post and AOL-Moviefone.
Jason has appeared on CBS’ Inside Edition, CNN’s Anderson Cooper 360, Wolf Blitzer’s The Situation Room, Headline News’ Showbiz Tonight, Fox News, and other networks to discuss film. He has written on film for The LA Times, Townhall, the journal Neurosurgery, and other publications. The LA Times’ Patrick Goldstein has called Jason’s writing on film “provocative” and “intriguing” and has called Libertas “a must read for anyone who cares about film.”
Jason has an MFA from the USC School of Cinematic Arts, a Ph.D. in Germanic Literature from Stanford University, and a B.A. in Philosophy from Yale University. From 2010 to 2011 Jason was a Visiting Scholar at Stanford University.
Jason Apuzzo is also a writer-director. His film Kalifornistan opened the 2010 Free Thinking Film Festival. You can read a full interview with Jason about the film here.
Previously, Jason co-founded The Liberty Film Festival in 2004. In 2005 Jason co-founded, wrote, and edited the popular film blog Libertas (forerunner to Libertas Film Magazine), which was voted the #3 culture blog on the internet in 2007.
Jason is married to actress and writer Govindini Murty.
