OK, Nicol - just for you, I'll take another look at it. I recall my problem with the film being the casting of Telly Savalas as Blofeld. I love Telly, but he was completely miscast in that role. Still, Diana Rigg's great ... so I'll give it another go!

I must say you have hit one of the raw nerves of Bondom with your comments on Secret Service. It is admittedly the Bond people either love or hate, but I must say, all things considered it is one of the best. Easily top five material. Lazenby himself is only mediocre, but the script and direction are top class. From Diana Rigg as Bond's love, to the tragic ending this is one of the best films for humanizing Bond. It is the film that Casino Royale was taking its hat tip from with the relationship between Craig and Greene.

The action at the Olympics is also superlative. I am not at all suprised Nolan loves this film as do many Bond fanatics. Had it starred Connery, it would probably be considered the best Bond film.

When was the last time you have seen it? Watch it again and see how much Royale knowlingly took from it.

Rush Limbaugh got married - and Elton John played at his wedding?!! I'm completely shocked - but good for him. I'm sure he's going to get a lot of criticism for that, but I'm glad to see that Elton John is open-minded enough to do that. Are they neighbors? Friends? How did this happen.

BTW - that' a hilarious photo of J.Lo spanking Tom Cruise. Man, she just isn't slowing down, is she? What does Marc Antony think of this? And what's up with Tom Cruise's appearance? I didn't even know it was him at first.

On Her Majesty’s Secret Service is downright boring. I think a lot of its reputation is down to Lazenby's Bond, which was excellent. If he didn't throw away his career he could have made some of the best Bond movies, rather than what's probably the worst (I haven't seen Quantum of Solace yet).

Don't ever go to the range with Ben Kingsley, he clearly has never held a real gun before in his life.
