Check it out above. The film stars Dwayne Johnson as Roadblock, Bruce Willis as the original ‘Joe,’ Adrianne Palicki as Lady Jaye, Channing Tatum as Duke, Ray Park as Snake Eyes and Jonathan Pryce as the President of the United States.

  1. While i cannot actually speak for the film itself, based on the trailer alone, it APPEARS that this GI-JOE film not only works to undo many of the mistakes of the last film, but also provides some eerie VERY EXAGERATED parallels to what is happening today. For example (based on the trailer):
    1. The film deals with the efforts of a massive fanatical terrorist organization/network to put the citizens of the world under its control (whereas the first film showed the Cobra organization being a secret extension of evil arms manufacturer Destro and his corrupt MARS corporation) through acts of extreme violence.

    2. An American President (though according to the trailer, it is a decoy) throws a military unit (whose mission is to preserve freedom) under the bus (lethally) in order to promote his own agenda and embolden the terrorists on a massive level. He is even shown, in the trailer, going to the United Nations for support. AMAZING THAT SUCH A STORYLINE, NO MATTER HOW OUT THERE/EXAGERTED, CAN APPEAR IN THE AGE OF OBAMA

    3. The remaining members of the more American centric (Flint, Roadblock, Joe Colton, Lady Jaye, Snake Eyes) military unit (as opposed to the more UN fashioned first film), led by CONSERVATIVE tough guys The Rock and Bruce Willis, must be willing to take the fight to the enemy if freedom and justice are to prevail.

I do not know how true the film will be to the trailer. That said, the trailer alone definitelyshows more promise than the first GI-JOE film.

    1. Looks to me like well produced mindless entertainment. I too hope it’s as good as the trailer.

  2. I’m actually quite interested in this film. The first one was a bitter disappoint, and I’m still skeptical about this too, but hopeful. I dunno, it just has the look of a great action flick. I’m kinda hoping the took a good action flick plot and stuck a bunch of GI Joe stuff on it. That’d work for me. (I never considered GI Joe great live-action material to begin with so…)
